THE CHALLENGE:
Our clients came to us wanting to update their branding and bring new life to their outdated website. Their customer service truly sets them apart in their industry so they wanted a website that was cohesive with their approach. They also wanted to start exploring the e-commerce world by adding an online store.
THE SOLUTION:
We gave their branding a complete refresh with the creation of a sleek, industrial logo package they can apply to all their marketing platforms, promo materials, print pieces, and more. We created logo variations and a color palette to make sure their brand shows up consistently.
Once the new branding was in place, we designed a user-friendly, custom Squarespace website to highlight their services and tell their unique story. We also created a Shopify e-commerce store that links directly from the new website to give their audience options to work with them directly or to go the self-service route by shopping online.
THE RESULT:
Our clients now have branding that truly represents the quality standard behind all they do. They also have a website they’re confident to share that can generate sales around the clock and provide a seamless experience for their users. Now as their business grows, their digital presence can scale with it and they can continue providing trusted solutions for their customers in-person and online.

THE PRE-WORK
Brand adjectives: Flexible, Responsive, Warm
The team at Volunteer Industrial was amazing to work with and always prompt with feedback and decisiveness. We kicked off the project with our branding and website questionnaire they completed to give us a comprehensive idea of their company and what sets them apart.
Once the questionnaire was completed, we had some direction for the initial branding phase which includes a shared Pinterest board. Their team jumped right in and helped us clarify our vision by pinning inspirational images we could pull from to create our mood board and initial aesthetic for the project.
This phase always helps convey the “feelings” our clients want associated with their brand and we want to make sure it’s accurate as we begin to transition into the process of creating the logo package.

The logo package included a primary and secondary logo with a VI element that could be repurposed into a recognizable icon. We also created a badge that could be used as a sticker for their packaging and a tertiary branding element as an accent on their marketing materials.
THE WEBSITE
The existing website was dated and didn’t provide all the resources the VI team wanted to provide to their customers. Additions to the new site included an online store, resource library, digital line card that could be accessed by a QR code, manufacturer logo slide, and client testimonials.

To keep all their marketing on brand, we updated a variety of print pieces the team at Volunteer Industrial regularly uses to eliminate any potential confusion with their customers during this rebranding process.
The online resource library we created on their new site has some of these (and other helpful) resources ready for download. Bonus: It’s a library they can continue to add to, providing more resources for their customers AND improving the SEO of their website.
