THE CLIENT:

SOUTHERN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY

THE CHALLENGE:

SAU asked us to create an identity package and marketing materials for their yearly fundraising event, A Taste of Southern. They needed us to stay within the University’s brand guidelines while also setting the event apart through the logo and marketing materials. The aesthetic of the materials needed to be “high end” and “classy”, giving everything a refined and elegant feel.

THE SOLUTION:

We established an identity package that can be implemented year after year - building brand awareness for the event. Once we finalized the branding, we applied it to all the marketing materials and worked closely with the printer to ensure expectations were met. We kept the design simple and classic, incorporating the SAU green to tie the event back to the University and keep it on brand.

THE RESULT:

The Wendy Dixon Team has confidence in their marketing materials, knowing they’re professional and on-brand. They also have the assurance that comes with having a designer on “stand by” - knowing they won’t have to search for help when they need it.

Services we Provided:

  • Identity and logo design

  • Print marketing (save the dates, invitations, programs, tabletop look book)

BRANDING

We needed to keep the primary logo within the SAU brand guidelines, so we incorporated their font and green color, keeping the most important words prominent at a glance.

Since a Taste of Southern is a formal event, we felt some type of script was necessary. We used this script version in conjunction with the primary logo as a secondary branding element.

PRINT MARKETING

The scope of this project lasted several months, starting with the save the date creation followed by the invitations, look books and programs.

The SAU team wanted the look book to be something people wanted to keep, so the goal was to design it with an elevated look and feel - making it something people would look at more than once.

LOOK BOOK

A showcase of SAU departments, the look book was highly visual with photography the main focus.
